Tomáš Köppl, the student of Composition and Conducting at the Bratislava Conservatory is a talented young musician. He actively contributed to reaching knowledge through the entire music studies. There are some remarkable competitions he won. For example 2nd prize at Artistes en Herbe International Competition in Luxemburg for his First Piano Suite (2013), 1st prize for composition Symphonic Sketch at the Slovak Republic Conservatory Students Competition (2016), 1st prize at the International Choral Conducting Competition in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia (2016).
During his studies he learned how to conduct symphonic repertoire, opera and choral music. He participated on the Bratislava Conservatory Opera Studio production of Hry o Marii by Bohuslav Martinu, also conducted the Bratislava Conservatory Chamber Orchestra and lately the Bratislava Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra in the Concert Hall of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra Bratislava (2018).
Moreover, as a composer, Tomáš is the winner of “The National Competition in instrumentation 2018” what led to the succesful first performance of Tomáš’s symphonic arrangement of Debussy’s Clair de Lune by Slovak Radio Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Konstantin Ilievsky (2018).
Tomáš has attended the masterclasses of famous conductors (Lior Shambadal, Jorma Panula, Štefan Sedlický, Pjotr Janczak), has been conductor of the Trinity Church Chamber Choir, keyboard player in jazz trio Impaco Trio.
Tomáš also did his master degree in International management at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava (2017).
